Royal Precision Unveils PURE RIFLE
with SST PURE® Technology
TORRINGTON, Ct. (Dec. 12, 2002) - Royal Precision proudly unveils its new PURE RIFLE graphite shaft, the industry's first name-brand graphite shaft to incorporate SST PURE ® technology. As part of its new 2003 product line, Royal Precision teamed up with Golfsmith International and Strategic Shaft Technologies - the patent holder for the PURE shaft analysis process - to bring custom clubmakers a high-performance, RIFLE-branded graphite shaft that integrates PUREing technology, an orientation-analysis process that has been used by more than 150 PGA players. Facilitated by the sophisticated orientation process, Royal Precision's new PURE RIFLE graphite shaft minimizes off-line bending and increases impact repeatability unlike any other name-brand graphite shaft.
According to SST founder Dick Weiss, every golf shaft contains structural irregularities, and these irregularities can cause adverse effects during the golf swing. Using proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE process analyzes a shaft, locates its most most stable orientation and then neutralizes the adverse effects. When the club is assembled with the shaft in this PUREd orientation, off-line bending and twisting are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the club-face improves up to 51 percent. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts from most major manufacturers, but Royal Precision is the first international shaft manufacturer to combine the PUREing process with one of its name-brand graphite offerings.
