E-Golf
NetworkT Records $1 million in Revenue
ENGLEWOOD, Colo.
(July 9, 2002) - Fairway Systems, Inc. is experiencing
a high degree of success with its new online Internet reservation
system at www.e-golf.net, launched
April 15. During E-Golf Network'sT
nearly first three months of operation, participating golf courses
have
recorded 38,107 rounds of golf as having been booked on the system,
representing over $1 million in revenue.
"We are
pleased that our business model is quickly providing incremental
rounds to the participating golf courses," said J. J. Keegan,
CEO of
Fairway Systems, Inc., and president of the E-Golf NetworkT. The model
includes creating regional clusters in which the tee time inventory
of
multiple courses is aggregated in a community site, attracting the
recreational player while simultaneously providing golf courses their
own unique Web sites focused on their core customers.
The thirty-three
participating golf courses include those managed by
Atlantic Golf Management in Maryland; in Colorado, golf courses in
the
City of Aurora, City of Castle Rock, City and County of Denver,
Foothills Parks and Recreation District and North Jeffco Park and
Recreation District; Monmouth County, New Jersey and the City of
Memphis, Tennessee. Participating courses have seen Internet booking
increase consistently since initiating the use of E-Golf NetworkT
, as
noted below:

2002 TOTAL 13,356 38,107 $1,018,532.00
The popularity
of the Internet is becoming widespread for some
participating golf courses. For example, an astounding 47% of total
reservations made for the Monmouth County Park District's golfers
are
via the Internet. Factors motivating golf courses to adopt the E-Golf
NetworkT include the capability for golfers to search multiple courses
quickly and the fact that the system is user-friendly, fast and
efficient.
"Two years
ago there were over 175 software firms trying to create a
national reservation system. We believed that model was flawed, and
our
decision to remain 'quiet' during the cacophony of vendors trying
to
launch national systems now appears validated," said Keegan.
As a software
vendor, Englewood, Colo.-based Fairway Systems is using
its technology and investing its own resources to benefit its clients
financially during these tough economic times. E-Golf NetworkT
(www.e-golf.net) offers tee time reservation and handicap computational
services, sponsors local amateur and Colorado PGA Section golf
tournaments and conducts surveys determining golfers' interests, all
ways of increasing the incremental income at its clients' golf courses.
E-Golf NetworkT is focused on the growth of the game, serving the
public
sector as an electronic bridge from the entry door to the traditional
forums which successfully serve the dedicated golfer.
