Lake Resort & CC names Jim Hames Golf Sales Manager
KISSIMMEE, Fla.
(July 18, 2002) - Orange Lake Resort & Country Club has
named Jim Hames Golf Sales Manager. Hames, former executive director
of
the Golf Coaches Association of America (NCAA Men's Golf Coaches,
Divisions I, II and III) and group sales coordinator for two golf
courses in Las Vegas, brings a wealth of golf experience to his new
position.
"We are
excited to have Jim join our team," said Jim West, senior
director of golf and tennis operations for Orange Lake Resort &
Country
Club. "His experience in the golf industry and business acumen
will
complement our management team."
Hames will be
responsible for bringing group golf outings and
tournaments, both local and nationwide, to Orange Lake Resort &
Country
Club. He will coordinate with area hotels, destination management
companies, convention and visitors' bureaus, charitable groups,
wholesalers and other sources to expand offerings at the resort's
distinctive golf courses.
"I welcome
the opportunity to bring Orange Lake's premium golf
experience to a variety of groups seeking high-quality tournaments
and
outings for their players," Hames said.
Orange Lake Resort
& Country Club's signature golf course is the
7,072-yard, 18-hole, Arnold Palmer-designed "The Legends at Orange
Lake," featuring a new 35,000-square foot clubhouse scheduled
to open
next month. Also designed by Arnold Palmer is the "Legends Walk"
Golf
Course, a lighted 9-hole, par-3 walking course. Completing the golf
experience at Orange Lake is the 27-hole "Resort" facility
designed by
Joe Lee, including the Orange, Cypress and Lake nines.
