Fusion introduces ReliaGolf for Palm V/Vx

- July 29, 2002 - Starting today, Object Fusion, Inc. is shipping
ReliaGolf to allow golfers to utilize the GPS satellite system with
detailed course information for thousands of courses throughout the
United States - more than tripple what is currently available from
any other golf system for Palm PDAs.
ReliaGolf is Palm V/Vx attachment that golfers carry with them while
they play golf. Golfers download detailed course information from
the Internet for approximately 50 percent of the courses in the United
States (over 10,000). ReliaGolf tells golfers how far they are from
targets, hazards, and sections of greens, and how targets play taking
into account the wind, elevation, temperature, and altitude. It also
gives golfers standard functions such as scoring and tracks club distance
and variation.
"We found that one of the problems many golfers have with GPS
golf applications is that they often have to go out to their favorite
course to measure the location of meaningful points such as the front
edge of a trap or the back of a green", says Dave von Hausen,
founder of Object Fusion. "Most golfers want to focus on their
game and often don't have time to measure these points while playing.
Golfers also want to know not only how far they are from targets,
but how the shots play. No one has offered these benefits before.
ReliaGolf was created to address these issues."
ReliaGolf is available today at an introductory price of $325.00 (regular
price $395.00).
