Tour Wins Mount in May
CARLSBAD, Calif. (May 29, 2002) - May has been a winning month for Sonartec.
There have been worldwide victories within 21 days in May on the PGA
Tour, the Senior PGA Tour, the Buy.com Tour, the European Tour and the
Japanese PGA Tour, all with Sonartec clubs in play.
Nick Price added to the excitement with his win on the PGA Tour last week at the MasterCard Colonial using a Sonartec 3-wood. Price, who serves in an advisory capacity with Sonartec, is the winner of three majors and 41 tournaments worldwide.
"May has been a month when winners on a number of professional Tours played Sonartec clubs to help them achieve their victories," said Toru Kamatari, president of the Carlsbad, Calif.-based golf equipment company which produces the patented Driving Cavity metal woods. "We are delighted with the growing interest in our products, and very pleased indeed to see Sonartec wins accumulating as they are."
Sonartec has seen its numbers grow steadily on the PGA Tour. During the 2001 PGA Tour season, 362 Sonartec Driving Cavity Woods were in play by 54 tour players, according to the Darrell Survey. Thus far in 2002, according to the Darrell Survey, more than 200 Sonartec clubs have been in play by PGA Tour players.
