ORLANDO, Fla. (April 3, 2003) - The Alumni & Fans Golf Association announced today it has formed a broad
marketing alliance with GolfServ, the leading provider of online golf
content, commerce and services, to promote AFGA's premier national
golf tournament, the Alumni & Fans Golf Classic.
As part of the deal, GolfServ will become
the AFGA's primary national media partner and each participant in
the tournament will be provided a free annual membership to GolfServ
Advantage, a $29.95 value that will save golfers hundreds more each
year.
GolfServ's network of Internet golf sites,
the largest network on the Internet focused exclusively on golfers,
includes Golf.com andGolfServ.com and reaches more than 2 million
golfers monthly. The Alumni & Fans Golf Classic (AFGC) will have
permanent placement across many sites in the GolfServ network, including

local qualifiers in their attempt to reach AFGC regionals. Also, current
GolfServ Advantage members will receive a discount on AFGC tournament
registration.

The Alumni & Fans Golf Classic annually, a nationwide amateur
event in which AFGA members will compete in qualifying events beginning
in April around the U.S. in both gross and net divisions. Golfers
will name the college or university of their choice and play in two-person
teams for their schools, competing for the chance to play in the national
championship in Orlando, Fla., and for the chance to provide scholarship
funds in their names to their chosen schools.
To kick off its inaugural season, the
AFGA presented a check in the amount of $10,000 to the FedEx Orange
Bowl Foundation at the 2003 FedEx Orange Bowl game, to be used for
scholarship funds.
