ORLANDO, FL --
Nike Golf was the only multiple winner in the 10th Anniversary ING
Industry Honors, presented Saturday at the PGA Merchandise Show.
Bob Wood, president
of Nike Golf, won the Business Achievement category over two other
nominees, Ruffin Beckwith of World Golf Foundation and Gary Tolton
of Zero Restriction.
Nike¹s other
winning entry was in the TV Commercial category, where the spot featuring
David Duval and the retrieving dog took top honors.
The ING Industry
Honors program recognizes outstanding achievement in 11 business-related
categories, and is presented by the ING Members Association and PGA
Worldwide Golf Exhibitions.
The nomination
process takes place throughout the golf season. Nominations may be
submitted by anyone in the golf industry. Through sub-committee voting,
nominees are narrowed to three per category, then winners are determined
by vote of the 1,000-member ING Members Association. Winners receive
a beautiful statue from Everything Metal Imaginable.
