- Four new members have been named to the ING Members Association
Advisory Board via election by the membership.
The four new
members are Mike Purkey, Senior Editor of Golf Magazine; Lynn Luczkowski,
director of public relations for Spalding Sports Worldwide; Ron Garl,
president of Ron Garl Golf Course Design and Geoff Converse, golf
writer for New England Golf Journal.
The 13-year-old
International Network of Golf Members Association is a non-profit,
media-based networking organization whose mission is to enhance and
promote communication and education in golf. Among the many facets
of INGMA are the ING Industry Honors, the INGMA Media Awards, the
Dennis Walters Courage Award and the Chi Chi Rodriguez Humanitarian
Award.
INGMA members
are involved in two conferences each year. The ING Spring Conference
brings together media and leaders from all aspects of the golf industry
to discuss issues, test new products, enhance their job skills and
network. This year¹s event is set for June 1-5 at Keystone Resort
in Colorado. Also, the INGMA Fall Media Forum tackles timely issues
affecting today¹s golf media.
INGMA is managed
by a five-person Executive Committee, elected by the INGMA Advisory
Board. Current E.C. consists of President Tim O¹Connor of O¹Connor
Media, Vice President Bob Nitkewicz, publisher of Golf Product News,
John Glozek, editor-publisher of Long Island Golfer, Mark Grody, president
of corporategolf.com, and executive director Mike Jamison.
