Sonartec Golf Ranks 3rd on the PGA Tour for
Fairway Woods in Play
CARSLBAD, CA - For the second straight week, Sonartec Golf had their largest number of clubs in play on the PGA Tour. The three-year-old makers of premium drivers and fairway woods ranked 3rd for total fairway woods in play at the Ford Championship at Doral, ranking only behind fellow Carlsbad, CA manufacturers Taylor Made and Callaway.
Fourteen PGA Tour players put 19 fairway woods into play, giving Sonartec Golf their first 3rd place finish for fairway woods in play in company history. Only two players in the field were paid to use Sonartec Golf clubs.
Of those endorsed players, Cliff Kresge finished in the top ten at Doral and Nick Price made his 7th consecutive cut using Sonartec clubs. Already in 2003, 30 PGA Tour players have put over 100 Sonartec fairway woods into play. Last year, 78 PGA Tour professionals played over 500 Sonartec Golf clubs, leading the company to 5 PGA Tour victories.Sonartec's unique Driving Cavity™ technology is a design technique used to remove mass from the sole and back of the club head.
