Sonartec Golf Wins Japan PGA Championship
CARLSBAD -CA- Sonartec Golf won their 4th worldwide tournament of 2003 this weekend at the Japan PGA Championship. The "major" victory was Sonartec's 3rd win in 4 weeks on the Japan Golf Tour.
Sonartec ranked 3rd in the Japan PGA Championship Darrell Survey count with 46 fairway woods in play. Three players using Sonartec Driving CavityTM clubs finished in the top ten of Japan's first major championship of 2003.
Sonartec clubs have finished as high as number one for fairway woods in a Japanese Golf Tour event and ranks 3rd for total fairway woods in play on that tour in 2003.
What sets Sonartec clubs apart is the unique Driving CavityTM technology, a design technique used to remove mass from the sole and back of the club head. The design redistributes weight in the perimeter of the club head and pulls the center of gravity deep within the club head for forgiveness on miss-hits. The Driving Cavity design also raises the center of gravity, making for a penetrating ball trajectory with no balloon effect into the wind.
