Sonartec In The Bag of Bayer Pro-Am Winner
CARSLBAD, CA - Sonartec Golf had its first 2003 Champions Tour victory Sunday. The winner of the event won for the second time in two years using Sonartec Golf clubs.
The Bayer Advantage Celebrity Pro-Am winner birdied the 18th hole to win his first Champions tournament of 2003 using a Sonartec SS-02 5 wood, according to the Darrell Survey. This was the 5th worldwide tour win in 2003 for Sonartec, a three year-old manufacturer of premium drivers and fairway woods.
Sonartec continues its success with Senior Tour players, which gained momentum last year with 4 wins on the Senior PGA Tour. 39 professionals on the Senior Tour put 359 Sonartec Golf clubs into play, ranking the company 6th for total fairway woods in play during 2002. The company's winning record included 36 top ten finishes out of 34 total Senior Tour events last year.
