Southern California (SoCal) Pro Golf Tour
The southlands newest professional mini-tour will hold its premiere 54 hole event July 12-14, 2005 at the PGA of Southern California Champions Course in Beaumont, with five additional 54 hole events contested on some of the areas most challenging courses. The final event will be the 72 hole Tour Championship at the Desert Willow Resort, located in Palm Desert.
The SoCal Pro Golf Tour was created based on the belief that any golfer with the desire to take their game to the highest level will benefit not only from the keen competition on quality golf courses, but also from expert physical conditioning and sports psychology training that will be available as part of the Membership Package. The Tour has partnered with Rick Sessinghaus PGA Professional/Sports Psychology Coach, Dr. Randy Hillegaart, D.C. Golf Enhancement Specialist, Golf Sponsorship Services, Inc. (GSS) and Aspiring Golfer to assist its Tour Members achieve their golf goals. Any SoCal Pro Golf Tour Member who earns a PGA/LPGA Tour playing card will receive a special bonus of $5,000.
The Tour has a very flexible participation format that will allow a player to play in all 6 - 54 hole events plus the Tour Championship or only one 54 hole event. Based upon a full field of 120 players, each 54 Hole Tournament will have over $100,000 in prize money. First place prize money will be $14,000. All players that make the 36 hole cut will earn a minimum of $1,225.
The Tour will be an all exempt tour but limited to 120 players, per tournament, (First Come First Served). Potential members must pay a $550 membership fee (must be paid by May 15, 2005) and then choose to play in all events our only one event. To be eligible for the Tour Championship a player must play in at least 3 - 54 hole events. The SoCal Pro Golf Tour will allow two players the opportunity to split a season (Partnership Program), buy/sell a playing spot and a member may sell a membership.
