The 3DX Ironwood by Nickent scored its 5 th Top 10 on the Nationwide Tour after the first four events of the season Sunday. The winner of the first event of the season, the BellSouth Championship, finished T-3 at the Louisiana Open for his 3 rd Top Ten finish of the season playing a 3DX Ironwood. The player is in second place on the Nationwide money list after earning $142,160. He also ranks 1 st for Top 10’s on the season, 1 st for total birdies and 2 nd for greens in regulation. A total of six 3DX hybrid users finished in the Top 25 at last week’s Louisiana Open. Fourteen 3DX players now sit in the Top 100 money list on the Nationwide Tour and the numbers are growing at a phenomenal rate. Despite having five players graduate to the PGA Tour and losing a total of 11 players from 2004, Nickent had over 20 players playing the 3DX hybrid in Louisiana. Fifteen new players played Nickent in the Nationwide’s first tournament on U.S. soil and Nickent’s first trip to the Nationwide Tour this year. “The Nationwide Tour is our home,” said Nickent Director of Marketing Jon Claffey. “It is now widely considered the 2 nd most prominent Tour in the world due to al of the success its alumni have had, but it’s a more even-level Tour that allows smaller manufacturers to get results strictly based on performance. We are the new # 1 hybrid on the Nationwide Tour and we don’t have staff players or pay money for professionals to put our clubs in play. That’s why we put much of our focus on the Nationwide Tour.” Nickent has now been pushing the 3DX hybrid on Tour for 20 weeks. On both the PGA and Nationwide Tour combined, 90 Tour players have chosen the 3DX Ironwood without any tee-up compensation. The result for these players is 26 Top 10's in just 20 weeks. Nickent brought the 3DX Ironwood to the PGA Tour full-time in 2005. It is being considered the fastest growing hybrid on the PGA Tour after picking up 15 new players and several Top 10 finishes in the last few weeks. 3DX -The # 1 Hybrid on the Nationwide Tour!* Media Contact: The # 1 Hybrid on the Nationwide Tour!* The 3DX is the # 1 most played hybrid from the 2004 Nationwide Tour. The club dethroned a giant manufacturer after only six weeks on Tour and held the # 1 crown for the remainder of the 2004 season, including more hybrids in play than all manufacturers combined at the season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship. The 3DX Ironwood was in the bag of the 2005 BellSouth Champion to start the season.
