30 3DX's in play! Nickent Gets Most Ever Clubs In Play On Tour

Nickent Golf earned the #1 hybrid ranking at the Rheem Classic this past week on the Nationwide Tour with 30 3DX Ironwoods in play. It is the most clubs the company has ever had in play in their 19 weeks on the Nationwide Tour and it is one of the largest hybrid counts in the history of the PGA and Nationwide Tours.

The 3DX earned its 6th #1 ranking in the 13 events since Nickent first claimed the hybrid crown in 2004. This is especially impressive given that the old #1 ranking hybrid manufacturer has 28 full-time staff players on the Nationwide Tour. At the Rheem Classic, the #2 ranking hybrid had 13 of those endorsed players in the field.

Nickent, a medium-sized company out of Los Angeles, does not have a professional tour staff or a tee-up compensation program to entice players to put their clubs into play. Nickent more than doubled the amount of hybrids of the #3 ranking hybrid manufacturer, while #4, another Carlsbad, CA manufacturer known for its large Tour staff, had only four hybrids in play.

"What a great way to come off our huge win on the PGA Tour," said Nickent CEO and President Michael Lee. "At the end of last year, we made a conscious decision to make the Nationwide Tour our home and that decision has really paid off. It is a more even-level playing field, where players have more room to choose what will help them get to the next level. I must take this opportunity to thank all of those players for choosing Nickent. It has been so much fun for us to battle the largest manufacturers in the world and to come out on top!"

One-hundred players have now put the 3DX in play on the PGA and Nationwide Tours, helping the 3DX to the #1 hybrid title and to be the fastest growing hybrid on the PGA Tour. Nickent has now earned an amazing 24 Top 10 finishes in only 19 events on the Nationwide Tour. The 3DX was in the bag of the winner of the first Nationwide Tour event of 2005, as well as two weeks ago at the PGA Tour's Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Other Notes:
A Nationwide Tour player and PGA Tour Monday qualifier finished in the Top 10 at the Byron Nelson playing a 3DX Ironwood. It was the player’s 5th career event on the PGA Tour.

The 3DX is the first hybrid to ever have 6 different lofts of the same model in play in three different events on the PGA and Nationwide Tours. (3DX lofts in play at the Rheem Classic: Two 14°, Three 15.5°, Eleven 17°, Nine 18.5°, Three 20° and Two 21.5°.)
